Introducing the Hyperion™ series 1, a pre-configured, full gym setup in just a few clicks. The unique Hyperion™ collection is the ultimate, easy solution to designing a versatile, compact gym -- utilizing REP’s modularity, functionality, and space-saving features in different combinations of cohesive, rack-centric builds. The Hyperion™ collection was inspired by our community and perfected by the REP team.
WHAT SETS THE HYPERION™ SERIES APART - THE BEST POWER RACK WITH A PULLEY SYSTEM
The Hyperion™ series 1 maximizes space to provide a cable crossover, a half rack for barbell workouts, two pull-up bars, a lat pulldown and low row attachment, and built-in storage. Whether you’re designing a two-car garage gym and still want space to park your car or building a commercial training studio in a limited, rectangular space, this packs a big punch in small footprint: just 13.5(W)'x7.8'(H)x4.8'(D).
HOW THE HYPERION™ SERIES 1 DOES SO MUCH IN A SMALL SPACE
The Hyperion™ series 1 centers around a PR-5000 power rack, with all the features built right onto it. The innovative design transforms the regular power rack into a half rack (inverting the Rear Base Stabilizer to save space). Perform squats and presses outside the rack using the J-cups of your choice, made extra safe by the included Spotter Arms.
The Hyperion™ series 1 allows multiple athletes to work out at once; one can train in the half rack area with two others on the side-mount cable attachments or pull-up bars and have plenty of space.
HYPERION™ SERIES 1 CABLE FEATURES
This build, power rack with a cable system, gives you cables with both a 2:1 and 1:1 ratio. The Athena ™ side mount functional trainer attachments each feature 170lb stacks (upgradable to 220lbs) at a 2:1 ratio, ideal for functional training and exercises such as cable crossovers. The Lat Pulldown and Low Row attachment has a 200lb stack (upgradable to 300lbs) with a 1:1 ratio for slower, strength-focused lifts. All cable attachments have high-quality pulleys and cables, attachment versatility, and integrated band pegs. The lat pulldown attachment also comes with a tread plate to brace against, a matte black powder-coated lat pulldown bar, a straight bar, and two urethane D-handle attachments. Add Leg Rollers and premium attachments from our cable attachments collection to take your cable system to the next level.
ADDITIONAL HYPERION™ SERIES 1 HIGHLIGHTS
Each side of the Hyperion™ series 1 setup is topped off with two 1.25” Pull-Up bars, too. For storage, this setup comes with a 5000 Series Weight Storage Horn Set (three pairs or 6" weight horns and three pairs of 12" weight horns) for plate storage on the outside of the rack; a Dual Barbell Hanger for barbell organization; and you can mix and match various shelf options based on your needs (Dumbbell Storage Shelves, Flat Storage Shelves, and/or Ball & Plate Storage Shelves).
PERSONALIZE YOUR SETUP
Further customize your Hyperion™ series 1 by picking the color of your uprights and crossmembers and your preference of four types of J-cups. It’s easy to design the perfect workout space. Just select the height of the uprights (80” or 93”), choose your colors, storage shelving options (minimum of two), and J-cups option, and you’re done. You can also separately order more cable attachments, additional storage shelves, and other rack attachments. Enjoy a hassle-free, pre-designed home gym setup that saves you time and effort. Have questions about this build, reach out to our Colorado based support team via phone, chat, text, or email. We are happy to walk you through the build and modify it to suit your needs.

BLOGS
The current design of the Hyperion™ series 1 inverts the Rear Base Stabilizer to save space. However, if you have the space, you can mount the Rear Base Stabilizer the opposite way from how it's shown, which will keep the PR-5000's full functionality and preserve the full workout space inside the rack. This will make the overall depth of the Hyperion™ series 1 6.2'.
That depends on your goals and preferences. Check out our J-cup comparison guide to help you pick the perfect option.
This build features cables with both a 1:1 ratio and 2:1 ratio. A 1:1 ratio means 20lbs feels like 20lbs to move. This is found on the lat pulldown and low row feature and is great for slower, strength-focused lifts. A 2:1 ratio means 20lbs feels like 10lbs to move. This is found on the Athena™ cable attachments and is ideal for faster functional training. Learn more about cable ratios here.
The 41" crossmember width in the back allows for in-rack storage options. Mix and match Dumbbell Storage Shelves, Flat Storage Shelves, and Ball & Plate Storage Shelves. This build requires a mandatory minimum of two shelves (one on each side) because they serve as the bottom crossmembers. There is a max of six shelves (three per side) in the pre-built option, but that doesn't mean you can't build more on your own. Note: Three Dumbbell Storage Shelves can hold a 5-50lb set of dumbbells. Learn more about the storage system shelves here.
You can add a protective liner to the Hyperion™ series 1 Flat Storage Shelves, but they need to be purchased separately. You can order them here.
It comes with the PR-5000 power rack, but due to the 16" Crossmembers and flipped Rear Base Stabilizer, this build transforms the full power rack into a half rack. You cannot lift inside a half rack like you can in a regular PR-5000, but you can still perform all the exercises outside the rack safely due to the included Spotter Arms.
The Hyperion™ series 1 can be built by one person but two or more will make it go faster. Expect to spend 3 to 4 hours in total from unboxing to finishing your build with two people.
We designed it this way for two reasons. First, it creates the optimal space so your storage shelves and your weight stacks won't obstruct each other. Second, it moves the Athena™ attachment trollies forward so you can hit that wide cable cross without your rack being in the way.
That depends. As it's set up with the Rear Base Stabilizer flipped, there is not enough room to incline bench. Note: While an incline bench can't go far enough back to access the J-cups, you could use the front of the Spotter Arms to hold your barbell. However, then you would not have any kind of safeties in case of failure, so make sure you have a reliable partner to spot you. On the other hand, if you have the space, you can mount the Rear Base Stabilizer the opposite way from how it's shown, which will move the footplate back and allow for plenty of space for a barbell incline press.
Stay tuned for more Hyperion™ designs soon!
