Protect your barbell and add versatility to your workouts with REP’s heavy-duty Standard J-cups 2.0. These cups are laser cut and bent with rounded corners for added safety. They feature soft, textured, plastic lining on the front, bottom, and back of the cups and recessed hardware to protect your barbell. The bottom lining is one piece to prevent rotation of the liners. These cups don’t move while in use, unlike other J-cups. They are tough enough to handle 1,000lbs. The 4000 Series J-cups are made for 3x3” uprights with ⅝” pins (compatible with the PR-4000, PR-4100, and SR-4000).
The 5000 Series cups are designed for 3x3” uprights with 1” pins (compatible with the PR-5000, Omni, Apollo, and Oxylus). Both the 4000 and 5000 Series cups use bent steel with a lower profile and nothing beneath the cups for a cleaner look. With the lower-profile J-cup, you can mount the safeties closer to the J-cups to get that perfect setting. These J-cups are finished with a metallic black powder coat that's resistant to chips and scratches to keep your gym looking fresh for years. All J-cups are sold in pairs.

What are the differences between these updated J-cups and the original Standard J-cups?
-The updated J-cups use bent steel with a lower profile and nothing beneath the J-cup for a cleaner look.
-The finish is now a metallic black powder coat rather than matte black to make it more resistant to chips and scratches.
-With the lower-profile J-cup, you can mount the safety straps closer to the J-cups to get that perfect setting for the strap.
-Plastic liners are now more secure to ensure they don’t move while in use like previous versions.
These updated J-cups don’t have a support triangle on the bottom, are they still as strong as the original Standard J-cups?
These updated J-cups are made differently with bent steel. This manufacturing process allows the J-cup to be strong enough to no longer need the additional welded support pieces on the bottom. These updated J-cups will still have the same static weight capacity of 1000lbs as previous versions.
Which J-cups should I go with? Standard, Flat Sandwich, or Round Sandwich J-cups
If cost is a factor, our Standard J-cups are a great budget friendly option. They have a 1000lb weight rating that gets the job done. They will aesthetically be a more basic design. They will have plastic liners along the inside of the J-cup and on the bracket to protect your uprights. However, if you hit the bottom of the J-cup when trying to re-rack, you may damage your equipment with metal-to-metal contact.
Lowered J-cups will function exactly as the Standard J-cup. It is recommended to purchase the Lower J-cup as a secondary pair of J-cups to achieve 1” hole spacing with Standard J-cups
Our Flat Sandwich J-cups are a more premium option than Standard. They will also have a 1000lb weight rating. These J-cups will have a protective plastic liner along the traditional landing zone and on the bottom of the J-cup for those instances when you miss re-racking the bar and accidentally hit the underside of the J-cup keeping your barbell knurling from getting damaged. Our Flat Sandwich J-cups have a longer, flat landing zone that allows you more easily fit your specialty bars that have a 2" diameter where it is rackable.
Our Round Sandwich J-cups are a more premium option than Standard. They will have a 1000lb weight rating and are made of heavy-duty steel. These will have a similar design of the Flat Sandwich which means they will have a protective plastic liner along the traditional landing zone and on the bottom of the J-cup for those instances when you miss re-racking the bar and accidentally hit the underside of the J-cup keeping your barbell knurling from getting damaged. Round J-cups feature a super secure “doesn’t move” resting point and a dual-lock wraparound bracket design for extra peace of mind with heavy weight on the bar.
Are these J-cups compatible with my non-REP rack?
