The REP USA Premium Leather Lifting Belt is handmade in the USA, and its leather goes through a much longer tanning process and features a more unique patina. The premium belt is 4” wide throughout, which is ideal for powerlifting. This belt has been optimized for Olympic lifting, which is why it tapers from 4” wide in the back to 2.5” wide in the front. The premium belt also has an unfinished interior for slightly more stick, while this belt has a finished, leather interior. The premium belt features debossed REP logos on the back of the belt and on the loop, as well as a debossed REP mountain logo at the end of the tab of the belt. This belt also features debossed REP logos on the back of the belt and on the loop, but it has a debossed REP mountain logo on the inside of the belt rather than on the tab.

You don’t need to yank on your belt like a corset. A too-tight belt can actually inhibit your ability to fully expand your torso to create tension. The belt should fit snugly as you brace, but not be overly tight before you brace. The purpose of a lifting belt is to provide a cue for you to brace against – internally.
The leather should be oiled and conditioned to prevent it from drying out over time.
