Why would I choose the AB-3000 2.0 Adjustable Weight Bench?
The AB-3000 2.0 is a high-quality option for people who want a rock-solid, FID bench. The built-in leg rollers and adjustable pin allow the lifter to be comfortable and secure during decline movements. Eight back and five seat positions provide numerous setting options. The AB-3000 2.0 has five color options, as well.
-
What are the main differences between the AB-3000 2.0 and AB-3000?
- The AB-3000 did not have any rubber covers on the front or back bases. The AB-3000 2.0 has rubber covers on the bases to better protect and grip the floor.
- The AB-3000 2.0 now has the back pad adjustment numbers laser-cut into the ladder to easily set the position to the angle you are wanting.
- The AB-3000 had a standard vertical handle. The AB-3000 2.0 has a horizontal bar on the updated leg attachment, which stays out of your way while lifting and makes it easier to move around your gym.
-
What are the updated back pad angles?
The AB-3000 back pad had seven back pad adjustment positions, and the AB-3000 2.0 has eight back pad adjustment positions. Many of the angles are different. The incline positions went from being 20, 35, 50, and 65 degrees to 15, 30, 45, 60, and 70 degrees. The top incline position remains 85, and the decline angle remains -12. The new back pad angles and updated material provide more user-friendly positioning.
-
What is the difference in the leg roller?
The AB-3000 leg roller did not have an option to lock into a set position. The AB-3000 2.0 leg roller has six different settings that you can lock in using the included pins. The leg roller also now extends out farther to be more comfortable for lifters with bigger calves or who prefer that position.
-
What are the benefits of the new CleanGrip™ pad?
The new CleanGrip™ pads are denser to ensure durability and have more grip than the previous pads. They are also easier to clean – the smaller perforations trap less dirt and debris. The edges of the pads are also improved. The pad cover is thicker and also tighter, which means no bunching or looseness.
-
Can I store the AB-3000 2.0 Adjustable Weight Bench vertically?
No, the AB-3000 2.0 cannot be stored vertically.
-
Is the AB-3000 2.0 Adjustable Weight Bench compatible with wide pads?
Yes. The AB-3000 2.0 has a wide back pad that can be purchased separately.
-
Does the AB-3000 2.0 Adjustable Weight Bench have decline capability?
Yes. The back pad drops down to a -12-degree angle, so lifters can hit those lower pecs, crank out decline sit-ups, and more.
-
Did the thickness of the steel used change from 1.0 to 2.0?
No. We removed the "swoop" near the hinge joint, which was a decorative piece and added unnecessary bulk. The frame itself is the same 11-gauge steel and retains the 1,000lbs rating.
