Start your belt squat from the standing position, when you add on the easy-to-use Cable Catch. This simple steel hook and chain quickly attaches to the pull-up bar at the top of your power rack. Clip it to your Belt Squat, add weight, unclip, and squat. This puts you in a more convenient starting spot; no more extra, suboptimal setups that start from the bottom of the squat.
It also makes belt squats accessible to recovering and adaptive athletes who feel restricted or cannot start from the bottom of the lift. The Cable Catch comes with one piece of black nylon, a locking carabiner connected to a carabiner, a chain, and a hook. You will also need REP’s Belt Squat, a weight belt, and a compatible power rack, all sold separately.
