*If you purchase a 4-Post 80" Athena™ please be aware of the following: The maximum trolley height may effect usable space for J-Cup placement. We would advise individuals use caution while squatting with the trolleys above the bar when unracking and reracking the barbell.*
The wall-mounted Athena™side-mount functional trainer is a low-profile cable attachment that is integrated into a 5000 series wall-mount fixed rack. Achieve a full-body workout using the multifunctional capabilities of a functional trainer machine and power rack without requiring the space for separate stand-alone units. In addition, it provides a lower price point (and smaller footprint) than the Ares Attachment which includes a lat pulldown and low row. The Athena™ features a 2:1 pulley ratio, which means 20lbs feels like 10lbs. Each stack weighs 170lbs per side (feels like 85lbs) with the option to upgrade each stack to 220lbs (feels like 110lbs). It features hot-rolled steel plates with a 3% tolerance and a magnetic pin for quick and easy weight changes.
Add bands to the integrated band pegs on the base and headplate for added resistance up to a max of 540lbs. The Athena™ gives you the freedom to customize your rack’s setup. The patent-pending Athena™ features a trolley that allows you to do cable work at any height on the upright and is lined with a special plastic to protect them. The knurled handle and oversized pop-pin make it easy to adjust with one hand. The trolley includes a safety pin for added security while in use. The Athena™ cables are made from high-quality, galvanized wire with a raw steel core. The pulleys are made from strong aluminum and the front pulleys have a 180-degree swivel for versatility when working outside the rack. The attachment comes with a urethane D Handle attachment and is compatible with a wide assortment of cable attachments .

The wall-mounted Athena™ was designed with leveled floors in mind. However we know not all floors may be perfectly level, and there is room for the standard slope of a floor. For extremely unlevel floors, you may run into issues with installation.
Spotter Arms: Yes, when properly installed, the wall mounted Athena™ is very stable. We've tested the spotter arms up to 950lbs. As for the ISO Arms, they are not compatible with the wall mounted Athena™.
We cannot guarantee compatibility due to machining/manufacturing differences between companies.
Many attachments are available now and more are in development. A rack’s attachment ecosystem is one of the biggest reasons why you would choose one versus another. When you purchase a power rack, you’re buying into the company’s ability to come out with new attachments that add additional functionality over the life of your power rack. Our engineering team is hard at work developing new attachments every year, and we believe this is one of our biggest differentiators.
Check out our blog, "How to Compare Power Racks", for more information.
Take a glance at our comprehensive comparison of each of them.
Concrete anchors are included to bolt the uprights to the floor. If you would like to mount the stringer to concrete, we suggest purchasing 5/16”x3” HWH Large Dia Concrete Anchors, washers, and ¼"x7” drill bit.
The wall-mounted Athena™ is a comprehensive package that comes complete with a dual-sided selectorized Athena™, a pair of uprights, metallic black crossmembers, a rear base stabilizer, a pull-up bar, a pair of j-cups, a stringer, and all the required hardware.
Yes. The stringer must be installed properly. With the combination of the weight stack(s) ,the rear base stabilizer, and bolting the uprights down, the wall-mount Athena™ is as solid as can be.
We cannot guarantee compatibility with non-REP products. The wall-mounted Athena™ rear base stabilizer was engineered to fit the rear foot of all REP Benches to allow for incline benching up to 30 degrees.
