Belt Squat

OVERVIEW

Add a ton of versatility to your power rack with the Belt Squat Attachment. Simply attach this equipment to the Lat and Low Row Attachment inside a PR-4000 or PR-5000 power rack and add volume and variation to your squat training; train around upper body injuries; or move the attachment within your rack to perform dozens of other exercises. The Belt Squat features a 1:1 ratio, which means a 10-pound weight will produce 10 pounds of resistance.

This unique, patent-pending, integrated attachment takes up way less space than a normal belt squat machine. It’s heavy duty, made from 11-gauge steel with plastic-coated wire rope (galvanized cable) that provides up to 300lbs of constant resistance. Its pulleys allow for consistent tension throughout the full range of motion. This attachment is easy to assemble, locked in with quick-release pins. It has a loadable capacity of about 600lbs of iron plates or 300lbs of bumpers.

FAQS

  • How can I achieve the proper depth with the Belt Squat?

To achieve proper depth, we recommend making sure that you have the correct length belt and the chain set up correctly. If your belt is too long, you can set up plates or a platform to obtain the right height for more effective movement.

  • How can I start from the top of my squat with the Belt Squat?

Our Cable Catch Attachment allows you to easily start from the top of your squat. Starting from the bottom is not difficult when lifting sub-maximal weight, so this attachment will come in handy for when you are pushing your limits.

  • Is there any way to make the Belt Squat movement smoother?

Yes. We recommend wiping down the poles on your Lat and Low Row Attachment with a microfiber cloth and applying silicone spray.

  • Are there any other required products for the functionality of the Belt Squat?

Yes. The Lat and Low Row Attachment and the Rear Base Stabilizer are required. The Belt Squat attaches to the Lat and Low Row Attachment and utilizes its weight; the Belt Squat cannot be used stand-alone. Front foot extensions are recommended for anyone wishing to attach this outside of their racks.

  • Are there any tips for setting up the Belt Squat?

Yes. We recommend testing your belt squat attachment before bolting down your rack, as it trues up the alignment of your cross-members if they are off.

  • Does the Belt Squat attachment work on all REP power racks?

It is compatible with the PR-4000 and PR-5000 V2 racks. It doesn’t work with the Apollo.

  • Is the Belt Squat Attachment compatible with my non-REP Rack?

Due to machining variables, we cannot guarantee compatibility with non-REP products.

  • Is the belt included in the Belt Squat Attachment?

No, you. Need to get a belt separately. This is just the attachment.

  • What are the benefits of a Belt Squat?

It allows for strength training with minimal tension on your spine, so you can add volume to your squats and train around injuries (shoulder, back, elbow, or wrist).

  • Are belt squats harder than regular barbell squats?

The cables provide up to 300lbs of tension. Although this may not seem like a heavy load for some, the constant resistance provided by the Belt Squat offers a greater challenge than traditional squatting at comparable weight.

  • What exercises can you do with the Belt Squat attachment?

Other than belt squats, you can make a ton of other exercises weighed using this attachment. Try it with pull-ups, hip thrusts, rack pulls, rows, deadlifts, dips, Bulgarian split squats, calf raises, and more.
