Fully protect the knurling on your barbell with the versatile, heavy-duty Round Sandwich J-cups 2.0. These cups, which are compatible with 4000 and 5000 Series power racks, feature plastic lining for total protection of your barbell and the power rack uprights. Plus, the hardware is on the side of the cups, so there’s no metal contact with your barbell. These J-cups are finished with a metallic black powder coat that’s resistant to chips and scratches to minimize rust and keep your home gym looking fresh for years. Round cups feature a super secure resting point, so your barbell won’t slide around or move when it’s racked.
These cups fit standard and specialty bars with diameters less than 50mm. The Round Sandwich J-cups 2.0 are tough, with a weight capacity of 1,000lbs. They feature high-end finishes, such as a laser-cut metallic black REP logo plate with a stainless-steel backing, and they’re laser cut and bent with rounded corners for safety. The bottom liners are one piece to prevent rotation of the liners. The 4000 Series cups are made for 3x3” uprights with 5/8” pins. The 5000 Series J-cups are designed for 3x3” uprights with 1” pins. They extend off the rack 5.3”. These cups are sold in pairs.

What are the differences between the updated Round Sandwich J-cups 2.0 and the original Round Sandwich J-cups?
Cosmetics: The new cups have a metallic black finish with a stainless-steel backing, so the REP logo really pops. This is the reverse look of the original design.
Functionally: The new J-cups have an overall taller landing zone height, which allows for more surface area when re-racking. A smaller lip allows for easier re-racking, while still holding your barbell secure. The higher position on the pin from the C-cup makes it easier to install the J-cup, due to less rotation needed. And the new, single C-cup bracket instead of the previous dual brackets allows for ease of installation without compromising stability.
Which J-cups should I go with: Standard, Flat Sandwich, or Round Sandwich J-cups?
Standard J-cups are a great, budget-friendly option. They are aesthetically more basic. They have plastic liners along the inside of the J-cup and on the bracket to protect your uprights. However, if you hit the bottom of the J-cup when trying to re-rack, you may damage your equipment with metal-to-metal contact. They have a 1000lb weight rating.
The Flat Sandwich J-cups are a more premium option than Standard J-cups. They also have a 1000lb weight rating. These J-cups have a protective, plastic liner along the traditional landing zone and on the bottom of the J-cup. This is in case you miss re-racking the bar and accidentally hit the underside of the J-cup; it protects your barbell knurling from getting damaged. The Flat Sandwich J-cups have a longer, flat landing zone that allows you to roll the bar slightly to get some momentum before performing a lift, which some people prefer.
The Round Sandwich J-cups are another premium option. They also have a 1000lb weight rating and are made of heavy-duty steel. Like the Flat Sandwich J-cups, the Round Sandwich J-cups have a protective, plastic liner along the traditional landing zone and on the bottom of the J-cup in case you miss a re-rack. However, Round Sandwich J-cups feature a super secure resting point for the barbell to sit, so it won’t roll around in the cup as you get ready for liftoff.
