OVERVIEW

Add a ton of versatility to your power rack with the Belt Squat Attachment. Simply attach this equipment to the Lat Pulldown and Low Row attachment or Ares attachment inside a PR-4000 or PR-5000 power rack and add volume and variation to your squat training; train around upper body injuries; or move the attachment within your rack to perform dozens of other exercises. The Belt Squat features a 1:1 ratio, which means a 10-pound weight will produce 10 pounds of resistance.

    Glad I didn’t give up

I have used quite a few different belt squats. It’s taken me a few months to be able to give this an honest review. At first I hated this belt squat. I would take it out at the end of my workout to rep out without having to worry about my back. Then I got an electric winch to help with the lift off, I was annoyed with the extra steps and the noise of the winch, I made a couple 4” platforms to assist with the depth (I just wasn’t happy). I kept shopping for something like Roque’s Rhino. A friend of mine has a boutique gym with a rhino so I pay for a day pass so I can try the rhino out. I was extremely disappointed I kept bottoming out, there was a girl who was 5’3” that just couldn’t even use it, honestly it isn’t even close to how smooth Reps belt squat is. So I broke down and purchased a couple of the small wooden plyo boxes set up the winch and I am completely satisfied with this belt squat for the price the extra setup time is worth it. I have put a gym pin in with a 100lb plate on the stack and it’s heavy and works very smoothly

    Big Pump, Small Budget

Solid. Best addition to my rack this year. Love the pump I can get. Can’t beat the price for this level of quality.

Setup out of the box was easy. First time putting it in my PR-5k rack w/ ares 2.0 I had to loosen my frame bolts so I could square it up and then lock it back down. I tried to avoid this step and couldn’t. But that tolerance makes for a great product fit. After that, in and out is super quick (1-2 min). At 5’10”, I can get to parallel depth with a spud belt. No standing on plates or boxes necessary. The only challenge I’ve experienced is starting from the bottom. That’s just a change in motion for squatting. Only upgrade I could hope for is a feature that gives me the option to start from the top.

Easy to setup and adds a lot of versatility to my rack and Ares system.

    Nice attachment

Wish it could be used easier on the Ares 2. 0, work around is the REP cable catch (chain and hook)

    Worth the money

I do wish it had a little more range of motion even when you take all of the slack out of the cable, however this is in the ballpark price of lever belt squat attachments amd it is a far better strength curve and feel.

Setup is pretty easy. If you have a 16+30"+ 6 post rack, you can set up the belt squat in the front and still have enough room to squat in rack. This means all you need to do is connect the cable to switch from barbell to belt squats, minimizing transition time.

As for the range of motion, it's easy enough to make some lightweight blocks to stand on, so I'm not going to remove a star just for that at this price point.
