STORAGE DICTIONARY
Whether you're new to lifting or an experienced athlete, sometimes you'll run across a term you've never heard before. That's why we've put together the Storage Dictionary, featuring all the terms you'll hear when shopping for and using this system.
MODULAR STORAGE SYSTEM
An organizational unit with various components (shelves, trays, uprights, and more) that you can mix and match to create a unique storage system to meet your individual needs.
STAND-ALONE UNIT
A stand-alone unit stands on its own, without being supported by or connected to another structure. Heavy-duty and allows for attachment compatibility like a Dip Station and more.
CORNER SHELF UNIT
A corner shelf unit allows you to utilize the empty space between two units in a corner. Heavy-duty and allows for attachment compatibility like a Dip Station and more.
IN-RACK STORAGE
The incorporation of storage shelves in between your rack or rig uprights or off the back utilizing Elbow Brackets with an Athena™ cable attachment.
OFF-RACK STORAGE
Seamlessly extends your storage alongside your rack or rig. This creates storage on one or both sides of your rack or rig with an additional upright/uprights.
WING ADD-ON
Use L-shaped Crossmembers to extend storage off the side of the rack in a winged design. This creates storage on one or both sides of your rack.
4000 series
An elevated ecosystem that features 1" hole spacing from holes 1-20 on Storage Uprights and 1" hole spacing within the bench zone on rack uprights, and 2" elsewhere.
5000 Series
The highest-end ecosystem that features 2" hole spacing on uprights. This is the most robust attachment ecosystem.
3x3"
The updated Modular Storage System and components are compatible with 3x3" uprights. This allows you to add storage to your 4000 or 5000 Series rack or rig or add 4000 or 5000 Series attachments to your stand-alone modular storage system. These components are not compatible with the 2x2" Original Modular Storage System.
2x2"
The original MSS components were made to be compatible with the 2x2" uprights. Any product within that system is not compatible with the updated Modular Storage System.
DUMBBELL STORAGE SHELF
Space-saving, 11-gauge steel 41" shelves that allow you to store your dumbbells within the footprint of your 4000 or 5000 Series rack or rig barbell station. You can fit pairs of 5lb-20lb, 25lb-35lb, 40lb-50lb, 55lb-65lb, 70lb-75lb, 80lb-85lb, 90-95lb, or 95-100lb on a single shelf and a 5-50lb set on three. Rubber Coated Dumbbells are not compatible.
FLAT STORAGE SHELF
Seamless, space-saving, 11-gauge steel 41" metallic black shelves to store your kettlebells and other small accessories within the footprint of your 4000 or 5000 Series rack or rig barbell station. It has 3.13SQFT of usable space and can stagger 2-6 pairs of kettlebells on one shelf depending on the size.
BALL & PLATE STORAGE SHELF
A space-saving, 11-gauge steel 41" shelf that holds medicine balls and plates within the footprint of your 4000 or 5000 Series rack or rig barbell station. This can hold 12-13 45lb bumper plates, depending on style, or 3 medicine balls, or 4 slam balls.
DUMBBELL & KETTLEBELL STORAGE SHELF
Space-saving, 11-gauge steel, 72" reversable shelves to store kettlebells or dumbbells off of your 4000 or 5000 Series rack or within the footprint of the bodyweight station of a rig. You can fit a 5-100lb dumbbell set on four shelves. Rubber Coated Dumbbells are not compatible.
SHELF WIDTH
Choose between two different widths for your shelves: 41” or 72”. The 41” length fits within the footprint of your 4000 or 5000 Series rack or barbell station on a rig. The 72” shelf will seamlessy integrate into the bodyweight station of a rig.
STORAGE UPRIGHTS
11-gauge steel uprights that allow you to add shelves off your PR-4000 or PR-5000 power rack or build a stand-alone storage shelf.
CORNER SHELF
An 11-gauge steel metallic black corner shelf that connects multiple other in-rack storage shelves at a 90-degree angle.
ELBOW BRACKETS
Fourteen-gauge steel brackets that allow you to install storage shelves on original PR-4000 uprights or offset the storage shelves to accommodate the weight plates of the Athena™ cable attachment.
L-SHAPED CROSSMEMBERS
Crossmembers that allow you to use plate storage options with an Athena™ cable attachment; build a more customized functional trainer and storage combo; and/or connect various attachments in the pinholes.
STORAGE SHELF LINERS
These liners are made of a proprietary rubber compound that helps protect your equipment and shelves. The rubber lining also helps dampen noise when racking and unracking equipment and provides a solid, grippy surface so nothing moves out of place.
STORAGE FEET
Metallic black steel feet that attach to shelf uprights so you can create and add stability to your stand-alone or rack storage. These feet have pinholes so you can also use them with weight horns, band pegs, and other small attachments.
MINI FRONT FOOT EXTENSIONS
11-gauge steel feet that attach to the uprights of your shelves so you can add shelving to your stand-alone system or PR-4000 or PR-5000 power rack; enhance its stability; and also attach weight horns, band pegs, or other small attachments.
