Lift safely with confidence using REP’s versatile, easy-to-use Flip-Down Safeties. Quickly slide them into the uprights of your power rack like a J-cup, flip them into place, and securely lock them with a clevis quick-release pin. These safeties, made from heavy-duty, 11-gauge steel, have a capacity of 1,000lbs for the 4000/5000 Series and a capacity of 700lbs for the 1000 Series. The 1000 Series feature a liner on top of the safeties to protect your barbell, while the 4000/5000 Series also feature liners along the C-cups to protect your uprights.
The highly versatile safeties can also be used as a pulling platform. With 1” holes on the sides of the safeties, they work with some PR-5000 attachments, such as the Leg Roller, Utility Horn, and Band Pegs. Flip-Down Safeties are sold in pairs and come in different depth options for each of the series. Make sure to choose the right depth for your rack. They are available for the PR-4000, PR-5000, Omni, and 1000 Series racks.

Flip-Down Safeties feature a plastic liner along the top which removes the metal-to-metal contact that occurs when using Pin-Pipe Safeties. This protects your barbell from potential damage when contact is made with the safeties.
Additionally, you'll be able to utilize the 1” holes along the sides of the Flip-Down Safeties with PR-5000 attachments, such as the Leg Roller and Utility Horn. Keep in mind these 5000 Series attachments are designed for 3x3" posts, which means there may be some side-to-side play along the pin when downward pressure is not applied.
Due to machining variables, we cannot guarantee compatibility with non-REP products.
Yes, you need to use a pair of Utility Horns and their safety pins, along with the flip-down safeties, to be able to do the dip movement properly. We cannot warranty the safeties for dips with third-party dip handles, as they may be longer and create more torque than our safeties are designed to handle.
