Folding Racks

FAQ

How much space do I need for a wall-mounted folding rack?

Most REP folding racks stand about 92" tall; allow a few extra inches for ceiling clearance and overhead movements. The PR-4100 offers 21.5" or 41" depth and folds to roughly 6" or 24" off the wall. Plan several feet of open space in front for squats, benching, and racking the bar.

Should I choose the 21.5" or 41" depth?

Choose 21.5" if maximizing space is your priority; pick 41" for a larger working area, wider stances, and more room for pull-ups. Both options on the PR-4100 fold flat and use the same 92" uprights. For a quick checklist of specs to compare, see how to compare power racks.

Are folding racks strong enough for heavy lifting?

Yes—when properly mounted into suitable framing, REP’s 3"x3", 11‑gauge wall‑mount racks are built for serious training (the PR‑4100 is rated up to about 1,000 lb). If you prioritize frequent heavy rack pulls or large internal safeties, a non‑folding 4‑post rack may offer greater stability and accessory capacity.

What’s included, and what else do I need for installation?

REP’s folding racks include uprights, crossmembers, J‑cups, and a pull‑up bar; plan to supply wall stringers and lag hardware (not included on the PR‑4100). Verify stud spacing or concrete mounting and consider professional installation if you’re unsure.

Which attachments are compatible with REP folding racks?

Our 4000‑series folding racks use 3"x3" uprights with 5/8" holes, supporting popular add‑ons like spotter arms, dip attachments, storage, and landmines. For planning your setup and future expansion, check our guide on how to customize your power rack.
