A wide pad is ideal for larger lifters and people who want more shoulder support, and it can simulate a floor press. Smaller lifters may find a wide pad limits their full range of motion during lifts like bench press, so they might benefit more from a standard pad.

No, replacement pads do not come with hardware. These bench pads are meant to replace your current pad, so you can use the hardware on your current bench to mount the new pad.
A mild dish detergent and water are the best cleaning agents for poly-vinyl pads. With a sponge or clean cloth and soapy water, wipe off the vinyl to remove dirt, sweat, etc. The CleanGrip™ material is so grippy, it’ll hold onto and shred a paper towel, so use a rag instead.

I had been using a softer, taller bench, taller than competition height. My feet could touch the floor but it wasn't comfortable. My bench also had wide feet that interfered with foot placement for some exercises. This REP bench is competition height so my feet now comfortably touch the floor and the support at one end is only a post so there is nothing to interfere with foot placement. I like the firmer pad compared to the soft cushion of my former bench. The wheels and handle are also a nice feature to be able to roll the bench around rather than have to pick it up to move it. It's also nice that they have so many color options which allowed me to match color with the other equipment in my gym.
