Tight on space or budget for a full Ares 2.0? This is the ONE

I have less than a full 1-car garage at my disposal, so fitting a big 6-post Ares 2.0 build was never an option. The Altitude is perfect if you need a smaller footprint, or have a smaller budget. Being able to get a 6-post rack with a buttery smooth functional trainer and the best smith in the industry at just over $3k is an absolute bargain. REP really brought all their engineering knowledge and experience into this build. There are numerous clever touches, like the adder weights or how the measurement tolerances are just right so that it's compact, but nothing ever bumps into each other.

I saw someone complaining about the internal space for barbell use due to the smith. Sure, the smith eats up some of the internal depth, but I squat and bench inside this rack and have never hit anything, even if I had to bail out. If you can't squat or bench inside the Altitude without hitting something, you're having balance issues and need to rebuild your technique with dumbbells or lower loads.

I can't speak highly enough about the Altitude. REP really pulled off a magic trick here, getting the best of an Ares 2.0 build into this price and size. I think of it as the "Ares 2.0 Lite" or "Ares 1.5".

Great Rack - Very Happy with the Altitude!

I have started lifting again after a (very) long break, and was looking for a high quality rack that suited my needs and also offered value and expandability. I researched a ton of racks for a long time, and kept coming back to REP's PR-5000 and the Altitude. I really like the PR-5000, but I am not throwing a ton of weight around and have limited space so the great value of the Altitude stood out as it starts out as a 6 post with weight horns, flip down safeties, and sandwich j-cups at a great price. Plus, while not as ultra customizable as the PR-5000, the Altitude offers quality cable and smith systems you can add later which are both compelling to me so I pulled the trigger on the Altitude.

I am glad I did! I have had it for about a month, and I am very pleased with the Altitude. The finish is very good, shipping was quick, the instructions were clear, and the feel and look of it makes me smile every time I work out. I really appreciate the increased safety I feel lifting solo, and bonuses like the weight storage and anchor points for bands to stretch out tight shoulders etc. is helping me lift smarter. I am looking forward to probably going with the cable attachment next, and the leg roller. I am also looking forward to the other attachments that are coming out. Thank you, REP!

Functional Cable Trainer is Extremely Versatile

Installation of the functional altitude cable trainer is easy provided you "milk" (i.e., lay straight) the cables for at least two days prior to installing them. The number and variety of cable exercises is numerous and definitely targets specific muscle group development. The altitude cable functional trainer is outstanding and well worth the investment. The Rep quality goes without saying. Kudos Rep for another fantastic design. Highly recommend the altitude functional trainer.

Rock solid rack for my needs

After a few months of searching for the perfect rack and ecosystem I decided on the Altitude series from Rep. I ordered the rack, the functional trainer and the smith attachment. Shipping was prompt, the stuff arrived in a sturdy wooden crate and on a double width pallet without issue. I am not mechanically inclined and the included instructions were easy to follow and covered everything they needed to. I built the Altitude over the course of a weekend and got a good workout in the process. The rig looks sharp and is a joy to use, the pulleys are smooth, the trolleys are smooth, everything is SOLID.

I had one minor issue with a piece of the rack and wow, was I blown away by REPs customer service. They really do live up to the hype.

If you're looking for a compact all in one machine with a smaller footprint, great build quality and amazing support behind it look no further than the Rep Altitude.
