The height and weight of the rack are the only differences. The PR-1050 is shorter and lighter weight. The PR-1050 is 72” tall and weighs about 123lbs, whereas the PR-1000 is 83.6” tall and weighs about 133lbs.
Due to the weight of the rack and the potential for tipping, banded movements are not recommended and therefore band peg holes are not included.

No, you cannot bolt the PR-1050 Short Power Rack down. The PR-1050 does, however, come with two rear base weight horns, which allow you to store weight plates and help stabilize the rack. This will especially help when performing dips and when you need to add counterweight to the rack.
The rack itself has a 700lb rackable capacity. The pull-up bar can handle 400lbs, and so can the dip station (an optional add-on).

Great rack for low ceilings. Was originally going to purchase cheap rack from amazon but after reading reviews decided to spend a little bit more and happy that I did. Easy to put together and hardware well packaged.

Great cage, sturdy, easy to put together, my youngest child did most of the assembly minus final tightening. I am 5’9” and there is a little space between top of head and pull up bar, maybe an inch, not much, but enough i am confident i can move freely under it and not have to think about hitting the bar. Weight hook storage is a must add item, 2 sets of weight storage bars is ideal. J hooks are sturdy and work well. Safety bars work as they should and leave no concerns for lifting by yourself.

This rack is awesome! I wanted the safety of a full power rack, but I needed one sized for my basement. Now I can get my full workouts in at home and my wife and I can work out together!

I got the 1050 short rack with the safety straps and an extra set of J-Cups and it has been an AWESOME upgrade coming from some weight stands. I had to get the short rack so I could still to pull-ups in my basement. It is a little bit annoying how short the rack is at times (I’m 5’9” and hit my head on the 2” pull-up bar on occasion), but it was what was best for my ceiling height.
One thing I underestimated is how great the matte black looks. It’s an absolutely beautiful power rack that is a showpiece in my basement now! I wasn’t expecting something to look so nice!
The rack seems to be extremely sturdy and safe. No complaints here!
